You Don't Have to Pay $295 for Great Acupuncture

October 16, 2011

And that's after the $495 initial evaluation!

In today's New York Times Style Magazine, the article Stick It To Me is by a fashion writer who, after a recommendation by a friend, starts a series of acupuncture treatments with Dr. Yang of the Tao Institute. All said and done it's a good piece. Lots of pro acupuncture testimonials from the writer and her friends. But at the end she mention that appointments are $495 for the initial and $295 for return visits.

Hey, if you can afford to pay your acupuncturist more than $15,000 for a years worth of weekly acupuncture treatments, there are many fantastic practitioners out there. But that is obviously not where most people are at.

Luckily for the rest of us, Community Acupuncture is a great resource for high-quality health and wellness services. And it's a remarkable value when you break it down.

For instance, you can find all the positive attributes mentioned about Dr. Yang at your local Community Acupuncture Clinic.

  • Kind practitioners. ✓
  • Listening to problems without judgment. ✓
  • Calm you down without meds. ✓
  • Relieving pain without surgery. ✓
  • Pressure points squeezed. ✓
  • Needles placed strategically. ✓
  • Patients feeling remarkably relaxed. ✓

All of that at a reasonable price so you can come in for frequent and regular sessions. And that is important. For as great a practitioner as Dr. Yang is said to be, he still recommends a series of weekly treatments, or multiple treatments a week for accelerated results. And that is because the benefits of acupuncture accumulate through frequent and regular treatments.  While you will most likely see some results quickly, sustained results, especially for chronic longterm conditions, can take time.

So if you are not prepared to shell out $600 to $900 a week for 6-10 weeks, look up your local Community Acupuncture Clinic. We're sprouting up everywhere. And we're here to help you reach your health and wellness goals.
