Licensed Acupuncturist Kayla Benaburger is currently covering for Jane Terrana, L.Ac., who is on family leave after giving birth to her second child. Kayla was introduced to acupuncture when she “was around ten years old to help me with my digestion and migraines. Since then, I have been a regular patient, and acupuncture has helped me in countless ways.”
Knowing that she “wanted to work in a field where I could help people,” Kayla was “drawn to acupuncture and Traditional Chinese Medicine because of how it looks at the body holistically and can treat the body and mind together.” Kayla received her Master's Degree in Acupuncture from the New York College of Health Professions and has been practicing in New York City and Long Island since.
Kayla’s treatment interests are women’s health, mental health, migraines and headaches, insomnia, pediatrics, and pain management. “Kayla brings a wide breadth of knowledge, experience, and wisdom beyond her years. She is a wonderful addition to the team,” says Yuka Hagiwara, co-founder.
Kayla also brings her experience with acu-facials and has been incorporating Licensed Acupuncturist Tracey Byer’s methods into her treatments and practicing with team members. Yuka, who recently received one, says, “I had one of my deepest acupuncture rests ever during a recent facial with her, and I can’t wait for my next one!”
Kayla is currently seeing patients Tuesdays mornings, Thursdays evenings, and Saturdays. Returning patients interested in working with Kayla can receive a complimentary consultation with any acupuncture treatment. Reach out to the front desk team for more information.
