Please join us in welcoming Acupuncturist Dr. Soledade Meira do Valle (they/them/theirs) to Olo. Sol, originally from Boulder, Colorado, has also spent time in Seattle, Los Angeles, Albuquerque, and Savanah. A speaker of English, French, Portuguese, and Spanish, “Sol’s wide diversity of skills, expertise, and experience is a great addition to Olo. We feel very fortunate to have them as part of our team,” says Co-founder and Clinic Director, Yuka Hagiwara, L.Ac.
Sol’s toolbox of styles and techniques includes TCM as well as a gentle, non-insertive Japanese acupuncture technique for sensitive and pediatric patients. We have had practitioners who use Japanese-style acupuncture in the past, so if you prefer a gentle touch, their treatments could be an excellent match for you.
Sol says about community acupuncture, “I believe medicine should be accessible to everyone. The experience of healing in community is also very important to me, as I believe it can create bonds and deepen healing.” Sol’s work has historically included “supporting fertility and family planning, pain, PTSD and nervous system concerns, sex workers, people in underserved communities, and the LGBTQIA+ community, who can benefit greatly from this treatment style.”

Sol is seeing patients every Tuesday through Saturday (this includes taking over Wednesday’s Queer, Trans, & BIPOC-Centered access hours shift, with Julian Cho, L.Ac. continuing with access hours every Saturday).
