You can begin at any point in the transition, and there’s no wrong time to start. Some people come in during perimenopause — when cycles are still occurring but symptoms like sleep changes, mood shifts, or temperature fluctuations have already begun — and find that regular care helps smooth out the hormonal variability of that phase. Others start in postmenopause when hot flashes and night sweats have settled into a more predictable pattern. Starting earlier in the transition isn’t necessary, but many patients find it easier to build momentum before symptoms are at their most disruptive.
