Community acupuncture is a group treatment setting in which several patients receive acupuncture simultaneously in a shared, quiet space. Olo's community room has four treatment tables and two recliners, with soft music and white noise creating a calm, restful environment. Consultations happen every few visits in a separate room; during treatment, communication is kept to a minimum through quiet, whispered interaction. The community room tends to offer lower prices and more flexible scheduling, and many patients find the shared healing atmosphere itself genuinely therapeutic.
Each private room offers one table, a full consultation at every visit, conversational volume with your practitioner, and more dedicated one-on-one time throughout the appointment.
Choosing between them often comes down to personal preference. The private room is a better fit for patients who prefer full privacy, have particularly complex or nuanced conditions, or are sensitive to ambient noise. That said, the community room is not a lesser option — it has a character all its own, and plenty of patients prefer it. We encourage you to try both to see what works for you. Both Community Room and Private Room appointments are available through online booking or by contacting us during clinic hours.
