FAQ

Acupuncture can be emotionally safe for many people with PTSD or trauma, especially when the treatment is paced gently and consent is clear throughout the visit. You do not have to share details of what happened in order to receive care, and we can adjust the room setup, positioning, needling style, or amount of conversation to help you feel more comfortable. If stillness, touch, needles, or closing your eyes feels sensitive, please tell us; we can move slowly and keep the session collaborative. If you are having thoughts of suicide, call or text 988 to reach the 988 Suicide & Crisis Lifeline, or go to Speaking of Suicide’s resource list for additional support options.
