Free Post Trauma Ear Acupuncture Treatments

September 20, 2016

In light of the recent events in our neighborhood, Olo Acupuncture is offering free 30-minute post-trauma ear acupuncture treatments to our neighbors, first responders and those otherwise affected by the bombing. Acupuncture along with other modalities such as Yoga and meditation has been shown in studies to improve outcomes for those who have lived through traumatic events. It can relieve the secondary effects of depression and pain, improve mental and physical health, and are recommended to veterans suffering from Post Traumatic Stress Disorder or PTSD.

As New Yorkers we are known for our resilience in the face of these types of tragic events, but often the impact does not sink in for a couple of days. If you find yourself feeling unusually edgy, sad, or angry, unsettled by, or avoiding the subway or large crowds, are more sensitive to sirens or other loud noises, you could be more affected than you realize. If this sounds like you, we encourage you to take advantage of this offer.

Appointments for free 30-minute post-trauma ear acupuncture treatments are by walk-in and will be provided on a first come first serve basis, through the end of September.

Please contact or visit the clinic for more information.
